The Winery — Orben

A young venture from the team that established Izadi, Orben sits in Laguardia's ancient vineyard plots where vines from the 1940s and 1950s root into clay-limestone soils kept fresh by Atlantic breezes. The Antón family own three-quarters of the property; the remaining quarter belongs to fifty of Spain's finest restaurants—a telling endorsement of the family's vision. The 2021 was hand-harvested and gently extracted in stainless steel, then aged twelve months in French oak (half new, half seasoned) to build depth without overwhelming the fruit. At 14.5% alcohol, it balances power and poise.
