In the Glass — Tasting Notes

Pale and luminous, this dry rosé reveals stone fruit and red berries with a saline, grapefruit-driven finish that speaks to both maritime influence and high-altitude terroir. The medium-plus acidity refreshes without harshness, framing the notably expressive aromatics of this early-ripening vintage. Medium-bodied at 12% ABV, it sits at the ideal strength for warm-weather sipping—substantial enough to hold its own with food, yet light enough to refresh.

The Winery — Domaine de la Bégude

Seventh-generation winemaker Guillaume Tari, whose family acquired Château Giscours in Margaux decades ago, discovered this abandoned 500-hectare Provençal estate in the 1990s and transformed it into a thriving organic vineyard. Thirty hectares of certified organic vines—replanted predominantly with Mourvèdre, of which Guillaume tends the world's largest collection of clones—now flourish across eighty parcels of clay and limestone at 400m altitude. The 2025 harvest benefited from intense summer heat that concentrated flavour while smaller berry size delivered exceptional concentration without losing finesse. Hand-collected and carefully sorted grapes were pressed at low pressure in stainless steel, then underwent cold settlement and indigenous yeast fermentation to preserve the wine's delicate structure and mineral purity. Organic certification since 2006 underpins every decision, from manual grafting to biodynamic soil care.

At Your Table — Food Pairing & Serving

This is food-friendly drinking at its best: serve it chilled alongside charcuterie, grilled fish, Niçoise salads, or any Mediterranean spread. The mineral precision and refreshing acidity make it equally at home as an aperitivo or with cured meats and vegetarian dishes. One of the finest examples of dry rosé from France we've found, and it sits alongside the rest of our Domaine de la Bégude range with genuine pride. Drink now through 2026 for maximum freshness and aromatic lift.
