The blend—49% Grenache Blanc anchored by Viognier, Vermentino, Marsanne, Roussanne, Picpoul and Bourboulenc—delivers enough stone fruit generosity to feel inviting, enough chalky grip and acidity to keep reaching for the next sip. The Winery — Tablas Creek

Founded in 1987 by the Perrin family (of Château de Beaucastel) and the Haas family, Tablas Creek recognised that Paso Robles' Mediterranean climate was ideally suited to Rhône varieties. They planted cuttings propagated from Beaucastel's own nursery on west Paso Robles slopes, where the Templeton Gap's cooling breezes and higher-elevation influence shape the fruit. The 2022 vintage, whole-bunch pressed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, delivered concentrated flavours from low yields without sacrificing freshness. The estate has been certified organic since 2003 and biodynamic since 2017, achieving Regenerative Organic Certification in 2020—a commitment to sustainable farming that shows in the purity of the bottle.
