The Winery — Nyetimber

For three decades, Nyetimber has pursued a single vision: to craft the finest English sparkling wine, rivalling the world's greatest. A true pioneer in the field, the house was the first to produce exclusively from Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay. Today, under owner Eric Heerema and winemaker Cherie Spriggs, Nyetimber is recognised as one of England's finest producers. The 2017 Blanc de Blancs underwent separate vinification of each vineyard plot in stainless steel, then spent five years on its lees—the traditional-method hallmark that deepens the toasted-brioche and crème-fraîche character. Every grape comes from Nyetimber's own South Downs vineyards, planted on chalk and greensand soils and hand-harvested with intention.
