In the Glass — Tasting Notes

Lime blossom and green apple open to a tropical core of lychee and grapefruit, all underpinned by fine saline minerality. At 12% ABV with natural acidity, this white feels alive on the palate without heaviness—vibrant, aromatic and restrained in equal measure.

The Winery — Bodega Tamerán

Founded in 2019 on a six-hectare south-facing vineyard in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Tamerán brings together the expertise of winemaker Jonatan García Lima (known for his work at Suertes del Marqués and Ocampo) with organic farming on volcanic soils planted at 700 metres elevation. The 2024 vintage benefited from a dry, stable growing season; harvest in mid-July captured perfect balance. Minimal intervention in the cellar—spontaneous fermentation in old wooden vessels, 11 months on the lees, partial malolactic conversion—allows the Vijariego's natural character to shine, combining aromatic intensity with saline freshness and textural depth.
