The Winery — Domaine Desvignes

Gautier Desvignes represents the fifth generation to steward this 11-hectare Givry estate, established in 1870. After honing his craft in Oregon, he has returned to bring sustainability and precision to the family cellars. Hand-harvested fruit for this inaugural Cuvée Ozymandias was entirely destemmed and given a cool five-day skin maceration before stainless-steel fermentation. Twelve months in previously-used French oak, followed by three months in tank, allows the wine to marry without overshadowing its fruit. The 2023 vintage benefited from hot, sunny weather that ensured full ripeness, and Gautier's restrained hand in the cellar lets the terroir shine.
