The Winery — Château de Vaudieu

The 18th-century estate has been stewarded by the Bréchet family for over 50 years. Laurent Bréchet now runs the property alongside his daughter Élise, maintaining the standards their grandfather set when he acquired this prized holding. Situated just east of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and neighbouring the legendary Château Rayas, Vaudieu cultivates 60 hectares of red varieties on galets roulés—the famous pudding stones that store heat and drive ripeness—over red clay. The 2022 vintage benefited from a dry, hot summer and calm harvest weather, allowing vines averaging 25 years old to deliver a pure expression of Grenache character in full concentration.
